STEPS
Environmental Leadership Briefings
Each year the Institute organizes a day-long
briefing on a major area of environmental research. These briefings
are given by UCSC researchers who are leaders in that field
of research. The briefings are directed toward other researchers,
policy makers, and societal leaders who are interested in that
area of research. The briefings include presentations by UCSC
faculty and a forum among the assembled group. These briefings
are small in size and attendance is by invitation.
Briefings in 2003:
- The increasing role of genomics in
biodiversity research
- Water policy management in California
